Backseat Driver

Backseat navigation device.

The Doodles got the shorted this weekend. No big outing. Instead, we hung around the house and did a whole lot of nothing. Plus we lost power to the house for over 24 hours…but that’s another story. At any rate, hanging around the casa doesn’t make for very many photo ops.

Luke went to work with Daddy today, so Sam got stuck on “errand duty” with Mom. He’s a good back seat driver and errand buddy.

I need to make some big plans for next week to make up for the lapse this week. What to do, what to do…?

Still, let’s face it. As paltry as this post might be, the picture of the beautiful Sam is fun to share. I always get a kick out of seeing him propped into this position. It accommodates the long legs and gives him just the right slant for his favorite nose-to-breeze angle.

Leaving Before the Sun is Up Has Its Advantages

[singlepic id=366 w=320 h=240 float=left]I love going to Huntington Beach with the dogs. Australian Labradoodles do love the beach! I like to leave really early in the morning so there’s no traffic and a guaranteed good parking spot! Leaving while it’s still dark makes the outing feel like an adventure. Until about 2 pm. At which point I run out of steam, and then I have to take a nap. But whatever! I had a good time with everyone! And we wiped the dogs out. That’s always a good thing! You know my saying: a tired dog is a good dog! Continue reading

Doodle Art

Sam’s fame is growing! He’s part of a new mural at Sudsy Dog. This is really cool and we are pretty excited here at Dos Doodles headquarters! Tomorrow we head to the Huntington Dog Beach for a big dog play morning. Afterwards, the Doodles will get their post-beach bath. Some of our doggie friends may join us there, as well. More pictures of all of that stuff then. As the official Puparazza of the Dos Doodles site, I’m super excited to see this in person. The mural looks amazing and it’s really fun to have one of the Doods included in it! Thanks again to Sudsy Dog for their support of the Doods!

Check in for tomorrow’s picture bonanza…

Have Doodles, Will Travel (locally for the moment)

I’m helping the husband get stuff together for the new office/studio. This requires a lot of driving to and fro. Sam and Luke are getting accustomed to running all over creation picking up this and delivering that. Plus they have become immune to the nervousness that originally accompanied big boxes and the moving of large pieces of furniture or appliances. Drama free! Here’s a picture of the Doods just cruising along for the ride. Oh, and it’s a bonus that they charm everyone they meet. That makes the drudgery of errand running a LOT more tolerable!

More Wiggling and Waggling…OR…Don’t Dress Your Dog Like This.

I finally got to these pictures…

It was great to have a wingman and to have friends taking pictures at the Wiggle Waggle Walk. That was a treat! As a result of the additional hand and eyes, we have more pictures to share. Nice!

To start off this gallery we have some photos from the “Don’t Do This” file. You’ll like these. Enjoy…!

And When All Else Fails…

Bully sticks are disgusting. But…if I need my dogs to be really, really occupied and not into stuff and not bugging me and not digging a new hole in my lawn and I get a break and don’t have to take them for walks (just for right now, not every day/all the time!)…bully sticks do the trick. Every time. I have just bought myself about 2 hours of calm. I need it!
