Daily Dog: Sam with Ball

That’s my boy! He loves this ball we found at the beach. We find so many random toys there…honest, we try to find the rightful owners. Sometimes they are just nowhere to be found. This ball was a great find. Congrats, Doodle!

Stay tuned. There will soon be a deluge of posts…new pictures and new thoughts and general blather from yours truly, The Paparazza!

Daily Dog: Trail Dogs

I’m sure you’ve noticed that we’ve had a whole lot of Daily Dog postings lately—as opposed to other types of posts. Yes, it’s true. But that’s because yours truly, La Puparazza, has been working a lot. Boo…

When we get time, I like to make sure to take the Doodles out and about. I consider it my duty to challenge, entertain and generally provide good days for these wonderful dogs. So when work is challenging and busy, I have to do stuff with the dogs and blog later! Again, boo…

However…we are going to be doing something really, really fun very soon. This will mean time for blogging! More pictures, more posts—more fun!

In the meantime, we did go up the hill to Mt. Baldy and made it to the Saddle again. I look forward to being in good enough shape to get myself and the pups past the Saddle and into the places beyond that I hear are quite nice and have lovely views.

So for now, a Daily Dog for your enjoyment, and more to come.

Even if I am restricted to (only) doing stuff with the Doods at the expense of blogging away (oh, poor, poor me…), we did have a great time, and I have some fun posts coming up! It may just take me a while.

Ciao for now!

Daily Dog: On the way

Hey Doodles…Want to go to the beach? Here’s the look I get whenever they hear the word “Beach”. And yes, I did take them. I wasn’t just teasing them…that would be mean! We ran around, took pictures, met nice people…the usual.

Tomorrow, we head up the mountain again for a hike. Hoping to make it a bit further than last time!

Daily Dog: Twins

Luke and Kael have the same exact birthday. Same day, same year. Twins!

We met in puppy school last August, and this photo is from some play time before the Intermediate Class. Both dogs rocked this class…ok, actually, Kael rocked it.

Luke is super smart and he learns so fast. He does “sit-stay” and “heel-stay” like a champ. For those commands the trainer has us use a lunge line, put our dogs on a stay, and step across from them. Sometimes we are supposed to just stand there while our dogs are on a stay, sometimes we are supposed to do things to distract. And there is Luke, sitting across the way from me, smiling and looking so cute it just kills me.

When it comes to doing the “heel” exercises, I don’t think Luke sees the point. Generally, he will walk with me anywhere I want to go. But during class, this whole going in circles thing doesn’t seem like going anywhere. He gets really bored with that. He’s hilarious… he just kind of takes off in some other direction or looks for someone to play hooky with.

Next week is graduation. So what will the twins be doing next? I guess we’ll just have to see…!

Daily Dog: Dog Tired

Sam and Luke had a great Dog Day. We started off from the house in the morning and walked into town to attend a graduation. They charmed everyone they met at the graduation, and then we made our way over to the dog park. We met up with Penny, and all three Doods romped while I had a picnic lunch with a friend.

Back at home, we thought maybe we were done for the day. But Dad was busy with a home project that required a trip to the Home Depot. OK, everyone back in the car and let’s go!

Poor Luke. He was so tired that every time we stopped for a minute, he’d lay down. All the way down. Poor guy. Sam, too.

Back at home, the horizontal thing got serious. Luke’s using my napping pillow 🙂
