[singlepic id=733 w=320 h=240 float=left]Sam and Luke are wonderful travel partners. We had a great trip driving out to New Mexico. Everywhere we stopped we made friends. It’s just another of the perks of going anywhere with the Doodles. As usual, I got lots of pictures and played frisbee, went exploring and made some new dog friends.
[singlepic id=747 w=200 h=200 float=right]If you are in New Mexico, you should also expect to make friends with at least one alien, as well.
[singlepic id=740 w=320 h=240 float=left]There happened to be a hot air balloon festival going on at the time we were there. I took the opportunity for the Doodles to be exposed to something new, loud, colorful, chaotic, with lots of people and new dogs, too! Sam and Luke did just great. They hardly flinched, even when the big, loud blast of the flames went off to heat the air for the balloons. That’s actually quite a startling sound. No problem for the Doods! They were just doing their thing…you know, charming everyone and making friends all along the way! 🙂
[singlepic id=746 w=320 h=240 float=left]Speaking of charming people, winning hearts, and the like…I hadn’t ever considered I might have competition as the Doodles’ official photographer. As it turns out, there really are Doodle Paparazzi out there! Sam and Luke seem to take it in stride as they are surrounded by snapping cameras and adoring fans. I had to get a picture of that. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the last time we’ll see something like this happen. So now I’m trying to figure out how to secure my job…hmmmm.
There are many more photos to get to, and I’ll go through them looking for fun pictures to share. In the meantime, if you haven’t done it yet, I hope you will add your photo to the Oodles page.

Here are the rest of the photos, including some of the beautiful hot air balloons we got to see go up!

Sam is really getting big.
LOL He’s staying the same size. He’s just getting fluffier! 🙂 His coat is really getting long. I’ve trimmed it back a little because he was looking a little frizzy. He’s super gorgeous right now. But I’m not biased or anything…!
How much does he weigh ? Holly is 15 mo. now and weighs 40 lbs.
Sam is 22 months, 26″ at the top of his shoulders (he’s a tall one!) and only weighs 53 lbs. He might put on more weight as he continues to fill out. We are guessing he’ll eventually top out between 55-60 lbs.
Seems like Holly is more the size of Penny and Luke. Luke’s still a little squirt, just a tiny bit taller than Penny. He’s weighing in at about 37-38 lbs and he’s 9 months old. I don’t think he’s going to get much bigger….
I’m going to need some more pictures of your girl. She’s so adorable!
GORGEOUS 🙂 Charlie has a frisbee too & just LOVES to chase it. Hasn’t mastered catching it in the air yet, just diving on & then sliding on it in the sand! Looks like you all had a fab time in New Mexico.
Hi!! Thanks for stopping by… Love your profile pic…so joyful! You must be the proud owner of some really cool dogs! 🙂
