Australian Labradoodle puppies are just about the cutest thing on the planet. And that’s a fact.

I miss Sam and Luke as puppies so much. Having them when they were so little was the most fun thing ever. And now I have these two great dogs, which is also the most fun thing ever. It’s problematic that I still want puppies all the time, because that would lead to an unreasonably large group of doodles at my house. So the only alternative I’ve been able to come up with is to live vicariously through my friends who are getting doodle puppies.

Lately it’s been Puppy Day for some of my new doodle friends. This weekend it was another
Puppy Day for my friend Susan. We went to see the new baby at her house. He’s just the sweetest thing. I’m in love. She’s lucky I didn’t take off with him!

Pupster doesn’t have a name yet, so we spent the afternoon batting around different name possibilities while the Doods all had a great time playing with each other, and we watched as Sam, Luke and Chloe all played with the puppy.

OK, well that’s not entirely correct. It’s more like Sam wanted Susan and I to play fetch with him, Luke and Chloe wanted to chew each other to death and that left puppy to himself…sort of. We couldn’t get enough of him.

Chloe still seems a bit confused about the whole puppy-living-in-her-house thing. I’m pretty sure she’s going to sort it out, but for the moment, she’s a little less than enthusiastic. She’s still much, much more interested in making sure no one gets too close to her mom and showing her brother Luke who’s boss. For his part, Luke loves Chloe so much he just doesn’t care if she thinks she’s boss.

I got a good puppy fix, the Doods all got to play, we wore the puppy out, and Susan and I got to share a nice afternoon. If that puppy doesn’t have a name soon, I’m going to start a naming contest on the blog!
