What? Luke is 11 months old? How did that happen? OK, well …I’ll just try to keep it together. I don’t understand why this is going by so quickly. Here we are almost a year later, and these dogs are still pretty great. Now that little Lukifer we brought home has turned into a darling, sweet, smiling, bend-in-half-wagging-at-you sweetheart. Everyone loves Luke. He’s adorable. If you want to make this little guy’s day, just say hi.
We took Sam and Luke out for a walk/run/fetch excursion. It rained Saturday and was threatening rain early on Sunday. Good thing we took them when we did. About 15 minutes after arriving home, the rain started. Didn’t stop all day after that. They would have been so depressed.
Not depressed, however. These Doodles got the full outing-treatment. We walked, played, met new folks and generally had a nice time together. They were flattened out the whole day after we got home. I do believe we did them in. You know what I always say: A tired dog is a good dog.
A tired dog is also a happy dog.
I took this quick snap as we made our way home on our road trip in January. I stopped to let the Doods stretch their legs, and get a bit of sun. This is one of the photos I just got around to editing.
He’s a cute pup, if I do say so myself. It’s hard to believe he’s already almost a year old. Actually, he’s just shy of 11 months, at this point. How did that happen??
These past what, 9 months?, have gone by so quickly. And one thing we’ve settled on: Luke is a really cute dog, but it’s hard to appreciate this fully unless you see it in action for yourself. He’s just a sweet, little bear-puppy-clown.
As someone said recently, “his cuteness is in his eyes, and the way he looks at you”. Yup. That’s absolutely it. He does this thing where he looks at you and then turns his head a little, so he is looking out of the corners of his eyes. It’s just. so.cute. You can’t help but fall in love.
Going to the beach with Australian Labradoodles is one of the most fun things a person can do. I can’t get enough of it. From what I can tell, the dogs don’t mind it, either. So, I imagine you are ahead of me on this one and have already guessed where we were this weekend. I took a new friend and her beautiful pup for their first trip to Huntington Dog Beach.
Last November, I got to meet Susan and her pup Chloe (that’s Susan with Sam) Continue reading
Sam, Penny and Luke in the front…
It’s fun to babysit the sister. Nothing, not even frisbee, could make Sam happier.
This is what the Doodles looked like AFTER their the hike. They remained like this or in positions very similar to this for hours!
For those of you who have been waiting, here’s the next batch of pictures from yesterday’s hike. I am still working away on them, so I’ll keep updating the gallery tonight until I run out of time or out of steam!
Now, whenever I get moment, I need to figure out a new place to hike! Baldy is fun and it’s accessible and close. But we need to get the Doods off to a new hiking place for a fun adventure. Not that we are not already having fun!
Enjoy the photos and let me know what you think!
