Doodle Spotlight: Camilla and Darwin
[singlepic id=912 w=250 h=250 float=left]Folks, I feel so lucky to have met some of the people I’ve met because of my Dos Doodles—both in person and online! Today, I’m excited to introduce you to Camilla and her amazing [golden] doodle Darwin. Camilla is absolutely one of my favorite photographers. She is really talented and she’s the one responsible for the great photo of my doods at the beach that I’m able to use for one of the banners. I could not get that photo to look right. She just worked her magic, and voila! a picture I can use!
Doodle Spotlight: Lilikoi
[singlepic id=285 w=320 h=240 float=left]So… we went to the Doodle Romp in Malibu last August. It was a chance to hang out with a bunch of other doodle freaks and to contribute to a worthy cause.
While we were there we couldn’t believe our luck when we ran into some relatives of Sam and Luke, including beautiful Lilikoi. We had a great time getting to know each other and meeting the related doodles. Paul and Cheryl are lucky Lilikoi’s owners, and they are clearly over the moon for her. It’s easy to see why…she’s a sweet girl and such a beautiful pup!

Daily Dog: Luke is 11 months
What? Luke is 11 months old? How did that happen? OK, well …I’ll just try to keep it together. I don’t understand why this is going by so quickly. Here we are almost a year later, and these dogs are still pretty great. Now that little Lukifer we brought home has turned into a darling, sweet, smiling, bend-in-half-wagging-at-you sweetheart. Everyone loves Luke. He’s adorable. If you want to make this little guy’s day, just say hi.
The Sunday Outing
[singlepic id=902 w=320 h=240 float=left]We took Sam and Luke out for a walk/run/fetch excursion. It rained Saturday and was threatening rain early on Sunday. Good thing we took them when we did. About 15 minutes after arriving home, the rain started. Didn’t stop all day after that. They would have been so depressed.
Not depressed, however. These Doodles got the full outing-treatment. We walked, played, met new folks and generally had a nice time together. They were flattened out the whole day after we got home. I do believe we did them in. You know what I always say: A tired dog is a good dog.
A tired dog is also a happy dog.

Daily Dog: Happy Birthday Sam
Well, hello everyone. Time certainly does fly on by. Today is Sam’s second birthday. In some ways it’s been so fast. In other ways, I can’t remember what it was like not to have him in my life.
I feel so lucky to have such a great dog. It probably sounds crazy, but referring to him as “a great dog” feels like I’m giving him short shrift…he seems much more like a person in our family than a dog.
We always call him “a man in a dog suit”. That’s more like it!
Happy Birthday, Sam. Here’s to another great year together…!
