[singlepic id=1266 w=400 h=400 float=left]So we went to the beach a while back and I found myself caught short, with only the camera on my cell phone. The whole “best camera is the one you have with you” situation. I did get some pics, but they weren’t very good. We got to do another beach run and all of a sudden I realized that we were getting a do-over.[singlepic id=1263 w=400 h=500 float=right] Kiddo was there to chuck the ball for Sam, there was a puppy for Luke to play with, the Rotts were there to provide a regal foil for the playful, silly doodles.
It was Chester’s first time at the beach, and he was pretty much the center of attention. He’s so darned cute and sweet, it’s hard to pay attention to anything else[singlepic id=1254 w=400 h=400 float=right] when he’s around! He loved to tussle with Luke and chase Sam around. I’m not sure he realizes he’s not a big dog (yet!). We did a good job of wearing the pupster out. And you know my take on these things: a tired dog is a gooood dog!
The dog beach is just so much fun! I could go down there to play every weekend. I love these dogs and I love that great kid who loves to play fetch with Sam. He’s such a cool kiddo. I’m going to steal him. I am. His parents are officially on notice. 🙂

Hi tamson,
I wrote awhile back about losing my beloved lanie bear( just to refresh your memory). I still haven’t posted a picture of her on the blog , but will.
As fate would have it, a puppy came available to us, through Curtis, about 4 weeks ago. She is a pumpkin puppy, her name is piper and we love her to the moon and back.
Out of curiosity…. Is Chester possibly a litter mate of our piper’s? They look like they are siblings.
Looking forward to meeting you and your doodles someday soon!
Sincerely,
Geri
Hi Geri,
Chester is a Firefly puppy. Would love to see some pics of Piper! If you are local/ LA area maybe we can get the pups together for a play date. 🙂
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
Nice to meet you! Just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to upload a picture from my ipad ( fail! ). I’m not very tech savvy, and will have to wait for my husband’s help.
Would love to get the pups together. According to birth dates, Chester is a couple/few weeks older. Piper still has one remaining shot before she can go to a public dog area, so maybe after thanksgiving. I am looking forward to meeting you both. Piper is a shy little girl with plenty of spice! She would definitely benefit from some socialization!
We met chester’s mom, firefly, the day we picked piper up from beau monde. She was in a bit of hot water with Curtiss because she had chewed the corner off the sofa! Ha! A cutie none the less!
If you would like I can email you a picture of piper!

Hi Geri—
I’m going to forward your email to Sarah…I took it off your comment because I don’t want some weird bot to get it and then turn it into a spam-thingy. Or whatever those bad spammers do with info they steal off websites. 🙂
Thank you and I’m sorry. I didn’t realize.
Geri
Oh, gosh…don’t be sorry. I just want to protect you! 🙂
Hi!
I am considering reserving a spot for a Tristle/Hank puppy this spring. That would be your dogs’ sibling, right? And yours are absolutely, positively amazing!!
To me, this is such a huge change from having a Chinese Shar-Pei (mine passed away 2 years ago).
Oh, I am also a therapist, my office is in La Jolla. Moved here from NYC a few years ago. Where are you guys located? Could we possibly chat sometime?
I am also a therapist and ddefinitely looking
Hi Ella!
Thanks for dropping by the blog. It’s an outlet for my obsession, that’s for sure. These dogs will change your life. I’m telling you. I really didn’t know how special they are until I got one….and then two…!
I love all of Curt’s dogs, but am always partial to Thistle. And Firefly. And Pumpkin… LOL. It’s so hard to choose just one! All of the girls are great in different ways. The new girls he’s adding to the program look amazing, too. I don’t think you can go wrong. I know you can’t go wrong with a Thistle pup!!
I’m sorry you lost your dog. I hope that adding a doodle to your life will help to fill what is certain to be an empty spot.
If you are considering getting a Thistle pup, I’d get on the list sooner rather than later. Her litters tend to go quickly. And her pups are amazing.
Look forward to chatting with you more!
Oops… Where did the last line come from?? I thought I deleted it…
